Applications and Brief Description
Single-track underwater sludge scrapers are suitable for sludge scraping in rectangular sedimentation tanks of large waterworks or wastewater treatment plants. The underwater sludge scraper scrapes the sludge from the bottom of the horizontal flow sedimentation tank from the effluent area towards the influent area, finally scraping the sludge into the sludge sump in the influent area for centralized discharge, replacing the traditional siphon-type sludge removal machine that walks and sucks simultaneously.
Working Principle
Driven by the driving device, two sludge scraper carriages are reciprocally operated on the bottom of the pool by the traction chain and traction rope. The sludge scraper plates on the sludge scraper carriages continuously scrape the mud and sediment on the bottom of the pool into the sludge collection trough, and then discharge them through the sludge discharge pipe. The process of the scraper plate vertically standing and moving towards the sludge collection pit is called the scraping process, and the large and small scraper plates on the scraper carriage are at a vertical angle to the bottom of the pool; after the carriage reaches the designated position and completes a scraping process, the touch rod on the scraper carriage touches the limit steel rope, and the driving device reverses the carriage. During the return trip of the carriage, the vertically erected scraper plate is flipped to be parallel to the bottom of the pool. The two carriages on the left and right continuously reciprocate and interlace to scrape the sludge, ensuring that the sludge at the bottom of the pool is thoroughly scraped clean. After the carriage completes a scraping process, the scraper plate slowly flips to be parallel to the bottom of the pool, which can effectively prevent the stirring of the sludge when the scraper carriage returns to the starting position, ensuring the sedimentation effect of the sludge.
Main Advantages of Single-Track Underwater Sludge Scrapers
1. The difference between the single-track underwater sludge scraper and traditional chain sludge scrapers and gantry-type suction sludge scrapers lies in the fact that its sludge scraping mechanism is completely submerged at the bottom of the pool, and is not constrained by the space in the pool. It is especially suitable for sludge scraping in horizontal flow sedimentation tanks with inclined pipes and fillers. A single set of sludge scrapers can be used in pools with a width of 16 meters, and is not limited by the length or depth of the pool. The longer the pool, the more economical the equipment is.
2. The equipment has a large working load. Each carriage can scrape 200-400 kg of absolutely dry sludge in one scraping process, and is suitable for scraping various types of sludge.
3. The drive sprocket is equipped with a torque pin protection device. When the equipment is overloaded, the torque pin will automatically break and alarm, protecting the equipment; and it indicates that there may be foreign objects falling into the bottom of the pool or that the carriage needs to be repaired.
